I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the LORD says and how he will answer …

Habakkuk 2:2-4 (NLT)

Then the LORD said to me, “Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. ³ This vision (compelling picture of God’s plans) is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

⁴ Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.”

Waiting Seasons Are — Seasons!

What God does in us, during our waiting season, is at least as important as what we’re waiting for!

Romans 5:3-4 (NLT)
We can rejoice … when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. ⁴ And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.

Psalm 105:16-19 (NLT)

God called for a famine on the land of Canaan, cutting off its food supply. ¹⁷ Then he sent someone to Egypt ahead of them— Joseph, who was sold as a slave.

¹⁸ There in prison, they bruised his feet with fetters and placed his neck in an iron collar. ¹⁹ Until the time came to fulfill his word, the Lord tested (forged) Joseph’s character.
