John 14:16 (TEV)

(Jesus said) I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, who will stay with you forever.

[1] Our heaven-sent Helper is –

we need to know!

John 16:7 (MSG)

“… It’s better for you that I leave. If I don’t leave, the [Helper] won’t come. But if I go, I’ll send him to you.”

John 14:7 (NLT)

“… You know Him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you forever!”

  • The Holy Spirit speaks to the churches (Rev. 2:7)
  • Intercedes for the believer (Rom. 8:26)
  • Gave directions and directives to the disciples (Acts 8:29; 16:6–7).
  • The Holy Spirit appointed elders (Acts 20:28)
  • He equips with divine abilities and insights! (1 Cor. 12:11)
  • He can be lied to, insulted … and followed!

  • We are never alone!

John 14:7 (NLT)

“… He lives with you now and later will be in youforever!”

  • We are never on our own!

2 Corinthians 13:14 (MSG)
The amazing grace of the Master, Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God, the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit, be with all of you.

[2] Our heaven-sent Helper is someone who –

knows and what we need!

  • The Holy Spirit gives us the we need!

John 16:8-11 (TLB)
“And when he (the Holy Spirit) has come he will convince the world of its sin, and of the availability of God’s goodness, and of deliverance from judgment. 9 The world’s sin is unbelief in me; 10 there is righteousness available because I go to the Father and you shall see me no more; 11 there is deliverance from judgment because the prince of this world has already been judged.”

  • The Holy Spirit gives us the we need!

Acts 1:8 (NLT)
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

  • The Holy Spirit gives us the we need!

Romans 8:6 (NLT)
Letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
