1 Chronicles 4:9-10 (NIV)

Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, “I gave birth to him in pain.” 10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.

Numbers 6:24-26 (NIV)

24 “‘“The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; 26 the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’

[1] God wants to !

Proverbs 10:22 (AB)

22 The blessing of the Lord brings [true] riches, And He adds no sorrow to it [for it comes as a blessing from God].

Leviticus 25:20-22 (NIV)

20 You may ask, “What will we eat in the seventh year if we do not plant or harvest our crops?” 21 I will send you such a blessing in the sixth year that the land will yield enough for three years. 22 While you plant during the eighth year, you will eat from the old crop and will continue to eat from it until the harvest of the ninth year comes in.

[2] “I DON’T NEED MORE BLESSING” is

Genesis 25:21-23, 29-34 (CEV)

21 Rebekah still had no children. So Isaac asked the Lord to let her have a child, and the Lord answered his prayer.

22 Before Rebekah gave birth, she knew she was going to have twins, because she could feel them inside her, fighting each other. She thought, “Why is this happening to me?” Finally, she asked the Lord why her twins were fighting, 23 and he told her:

“Your two sons will become
    two separate nations.
The younger of the two
    will be stronger,
and the older son
    will be his servant.”…

29 One day, when Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came home hungry 30 and said, “I’m starving to death! Here and now give me some of that red stew!” That’s how Esau got the name “Edom.”

31 Jacob replied, “Sell me your rights as the first-born son.”

32 “I’m about to die,” Esau answered. “What good will those rights do me?”

33  But Jacob said, “Promise me your birthrights, here and now!” And that’s what Esau did. 34 Jacob then gave Esau some bread and some of the bean stew, and when Esau had finished eating and drinking, he just got up and left, showing how little he thought of his rights as the first-born.

[3] There is a blessing for those who put !

Exodus 23:24-29 (NIV)

24 Do not bow down before their gods or worship them or follow their practices. You must demolish them and break their sacred stones to pieces. 25 Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, 26 and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.

27 “I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run. 28 I will send the hornet ahead of you to drive the Hivites, Canaanites and Hittites out of your way.29 But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you.

Matthew 6:31-33 (ESV)

31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

[4] The blessing of God has the power to

Genesis 26:12-13 (NKJV)

3 John 2 (GWT)

Dear friend, I know that you are spiritually well. I pray that you’re doing well in every other way and that you’re healthy.

[5] The purpose of blessing is for God’s goodness to you!

Genesis 12:2 (GWT)

The Lord said to Abram, “Leave your land, your relatives, and your father’s home. Go to the land that I will show you.

I will make you a great nation,
I will bless you.
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.

I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you, I will curse.
Through you every family on earth will be blessed.”

Deuteronomy 16:10 (NIV)

10 Then celebrate the Festival of Weeks to the Lord your God by giving a freewill offering in proportion to the blessings the Lord your God has given you.

Malachi 3:10 (NIV)

10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

  • God wants to for more blessing

Luke 6:38 (LB)

For if you give, you will get! Your gift will return to you in full and overflowing measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Whatever measure you use to give—large or small—will be used to measure what is given back to you.”

  • If we think the blessing is all about us and just for us it’ll flowing!

James 4:2-3 (NIRV)

You want something, but you don’t have it. So you kill. You want what others have, but you can’t get what you want. So you argue and fight. You don’t have what you want, because you don’t ask God. When you do ask for something, you don’t receive it. That’s because you ask for the wrong reason. You want to spend your money on your sinful pleasures.
