[1]          The Cross Says – I Am Loved By God!

John 3:16 NLT

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

Jesus was given… that we might feel the love of God

Isaiah 49:14-16 NLT

14 Yet Jerusalem says, “The Lord has deserted us;
    the Lord has forgotten us.”

15 “Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child?
Can she feel no love for the child she has borne?
But even if that were possible,
    I would not forget you!
16 See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands.

Psalm 22:1, 7-8, 16 GW

My God, my God,
why have you abandoned me?
Why are you so far away from helping me,
so far away from the words of my groaning?

7 All who see me make fun of me.
Insults pour from their mouths.
They shake their heads and say,
8 “Put yourself in the Lord’s hands.
Let the Lord save him!
Let God rescue him since he is pleased with him!”

16 Dogs have surrounded me.
A mob has encircled me.
They have pierced my hands and feet.

[3] The cross says… I am special to God!

Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created … in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Ephesians 1:7 (MSG)

Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, his blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we’re a free people—free of penalties (sticky dots) and punishments (sticky dots) chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either. Abundantly free!
