Psalm 25: Trust & Friendship
August 11, 2024Friendship with God is the highest and most valuable honor given to the redeemed. It is through friendship that all the blessings which are promised become alive and are experienced. There is no divine blessing granted that is ever divorced from the divine person. No blessing is dispensed any other way than through friendship between the redeemed and their redeemer.

My Notes:
Q. How Important is Friendship With God?
A. It is important enough to be the difference between “well done” and “depart from me, I never knew you.”
Q. How Important is Friendship With God?
A. Friends highly influence who you become. Bad company corrupts good morals. So too does good company change bad morals. It is in friendship with God and within the community of His people that we experience change; changed morals lead to changed thoughts and desires. Changed thoughts and desires lead to changed perspectives and behaviors. These lead to changed habits which lead to changed lives. Your life must be changed if you are a friend of Jesus. His influence in your life will result in you looking, speaking, and acting more like Him.
