Here we see the interwoven stories of three main characters besides Jesus: Annas, Caiaphas, and Peter. Jesus deliberately gave Himself over to His enemies. I. Jesus stands before Annas and Caiaphas. (12-14, 19-24) Before Jesus Christ is actually nailed to a cross, He will go through very lonely and degrading trials. Three of the trials are trials and three are trials. What Jesus was doing was exposing and condemning the of religion in His nation’s day – and the corrupt leader was II. Jesus suffers by Peter. (15-18, 25-27) Three things that lead to possible denial of Jesus Christ that we can see in the life of Peter: (1) : trying to do in our own strength what we can only do in God’s strength. (2) : “A failure that leaves us humble is better than a victory that leaves us proud.” (3) : The church today is sleeping when there are important matters to pray about.
