How To Be Strong 

2 Samuel 3:1 – The war between the house of Saul and the house of David lasted a long time. David grew stronger and stronger, while the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker.

2 Sam 3:39 – I am weak this day, yet I am anointed…

1. With God your weakness becomes strength. 

2. Jesus can take you, however messed up you may be, and perform a work of grace in your life that will become a wonderful display of his love and power!  

John 1:11-12 – He came unto his own, and his own received him not.  (12)  But as many as received him, to them gave hepower to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:…

3. When you receive God, He gives you His power.  

Hebrews 11:32- 34 – (32) And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gideon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: (33) Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, (34) Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

There is coming a day when God’s church will be highlight of the entire world. 

4 steps to Get God’s strength. 

1. Give YOURSELF… your heart, your mind, your strength to God 
2. Surrender completely to God… Completely 
3. Serve in the Local church 
4. Be faithful to God and to His House

Isaiah 2:2-4 – (2) In the last days, the mountain of the LORD’s house will be the highest of all—the most important place on earth. It will be raised above the other hills, and people from all over the world will stream there to worship. (3) People from many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of Jacob’s God. There he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the LORD’s teaching will go out from Zion; his word will go out from Jerusalem. (4) The LORD will mediate between nations and will settle international disputes. They will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will no longer fight against nation, nor train for war anymore.

God wants you to go ahead and declare your strength in advance. 

Joel 3:10 – Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.
