“Community” // BUILT FOR IT [Part 3]

Every person wants and needs to be known.

Genesis 2:18 “It’s not good for the man to be alone.”

God designed you to community, so we wanna to help you community.

If community is never a real priority, real community is never a possibility.

You have to build community before you need community; otherwise you’re gonna want community and not have community because you didn’t find community when you could!

Acts 2:42-47

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and signs were being performed through the apostles. Now all the believers were together and held all things in common. They sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to all, as any had need. Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple, and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with joyful and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. Every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.

You need a community that:

1. together.

You weren’t created to go after God by yourself.

You’ve got enough people pulling you away from God, get you some people that push you toward Him!

2. each other.

People be trippin’ over this aspect of that church… but this is the church, being church!

Caring for each other is a two-way street, cause everybody needs cared for.

Most people want friends more than they want to be a friend. 

3. spending together.

You will not like spending time with everybody, but you should like spending time with somebody.

If it’s work relationally, you won’t community.

If it’s work relationally, you won’t community.

Most of community isn’t structured… but most of it starts with a structured moment though.

4. in people.

As a church, we will always make more room for more people.
