Calvary Baptist Church Red Bank His Kingdom Shall Never Fail Archived – December 3, 2023 View This Week’s Note View All Past Notes View This Note w/ Blanks Main Scripture Reference(s) Daniel 11-12 His Kingdom Shall Never Fail December 3, 2023 / Greg Powell / Daniel 11-12 We are finishing our study of Daniel today. The first 6 chapters of Daniel comprise a historical narrative of the 65 years that Daniel served the kingdoms of Babylon and Persia. The second half of the book, chapters 7-12, are a prophetic journal of the various visions and dreams God gave Daniel over the course of his lifetime. All of the things in chapters 7-12 were in Daniel’s future, but some of the things in 7-12 have been fulfilled so they are now in our past, but there are other prophetic things in chapters 7-12 that have not occurred yet. The goal today is to give an overview of the last 2 chapters of the book. I. The of the Kingdom (11) is literally “His story” and He directs it according to His providential . Daniel 11 is one of the most remarkable chapters in all of the Bible. In the first thirty-five verses alone, there are at least prophecies which have been literally fulfilled and may be proved by a study of the history of this time period. If 135 prophecies have already been fulfilled, then it makes sense that God isn’t about the remaining prophecies. This is just simple . I’m personally glad that the kingdoms of this world aren’t going to last . No matter how large or how the kingdoms of this world seem to be, their time is coming to . II. The of the Kingdom Jesus is coming to our humanity to what it should have been all along. III. The from the Coming Kingdom (12) Some will awake from death to everlasting , and some will awake from death to everlasting . It’s heaven or it’s hell….those are the only two options. Be (3, 10) What will the understand? They will understand that this world will call evil good and good . Be (4-9) If all of our questions were answered, there is no place for and trusting God. We know all the facts (the Bible), but we don’t know all the of the facts or the of the facts. Be (11-13) Stay , because everything is going to turn out okay.
