The Kingdom Life Connect Class!!

We’re glad you’ve chosen to find out more about Kingdom Life! This class is the basic introduction to our church family. Since we have members from many different church backgrounds, this class is designed to clearly explain who and what our church is.

Session 1: The Goal of this Class

Ephesians 2:19 NLT

19 So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family.

The Key Truths For This Class:

Session 2: What Does Salvation Mean?

We All Want The Same Thing:

Why Am I Here?

2. We were created to a personal relationship with God and to all of the rest of God’s creation. This makes us special!

Here’s The Problem:

What Does God Want Me To Do?

1. by admitting that God has not had first place in your life and committing to live for Him now.

9 If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. 13 They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.

A Simple Prayer of Commitment:

“Dear Jesus, thank you for making me and loving me, even when I’ve ignored you and gone my own way. I realize I need you in my life and I’m sorry for my sins. I ask you to forgive me. Thank you for dying on the cross for me. Please help me to understand it more. As much as I know how, I want to follow you from now on. Please come into my life and make me a new person inside. I accept your gift of salvation. Please help me to grow now as a Christian.”

 

Session 3: Why Is Baptism Important?

I. What Is The Meaning of Baptism?

1. It illustrates Christ’s and resurrection.

1 Corinthians 15:3–4 CSB

3 For I passed on to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

II. Who Should Be Baptized?

Acts 8:36–37 NKJV

36 Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” 37 Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”

III. Why Should Every Believer Be Baptized?

13 Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit.

28 Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which he purchased with his own blood.

 

Session 6: The Kingdom Life Mission

Matthew 28:19–20 CSB

A disciple is someone who is committed to Jesus, being by Jesus, and being on  with Jesus.

 

Our Mission

We exist to glorify God by making disciples that passionately with God and His family, progressively to spiritual maturity, selflessly with their gifts and talents, and relentlessly into the world with the life-giving gospel of Jesus Christ.

To be a biblical, multiethnic, and multigenerational community of Christ-followers committed to showing and telling the world that The Best Life is to Live Life God’s Way.

 

Session 8: Our Strategy (Part 1)

1 Corinthians 9:21–22 CSB

21 To those who are without the law, like one without the law—though I am not without God’s law but under the law of Christ—to win those without the law. 22 To the weak I became weak, in order to win the weak. I have become all things to all people, so that I may by every possible means save some.

13 For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. 14 How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher?

Unbiblical Excuses For Not Reaching Our Neighbors for Christ:

“There are plenty of churches in Greenville. Let Someone else will reach them.”

“We don’t have anything in common with those people.”

“My church is just the right size.”

Session 10: What it Means to be a Member

“What Am I Committing To?”

I. I will  with God and my church family by being an active participant in the ministries of the church.

II. I will  progressively to spiritual maturity by pursuing growth in all four components of KLC’s Spiritual Growth Plan.

III. I will  my church family with my spiritual gifts and talents.

IV. I will  into the harvest with my church family to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Church Community Builder is a cloud-based church management solution designed to help church leadership engage with members of the congregation.

 

What can you do with CCB?

• Join groups to receive group schedules, volunteer, and communicate with other group members.

• Receive ministry information based on spiritual gifts and interests.

• Communicate prayer requests and other information with your elder family group.

 

What do we need?

• Correct profile information! (examples: children’s name and ages, individual email addresses, pictures)

• Privacy settings can be set by the user. Share with others only what you want them to see.
