Acts 5:1-16

The Story of Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5 lets us know that despite the explosion of growth in the early church, they had moments of weakness, even gross sin. May we each determine whether we are like Barnabas or Ananias.

5 Things to learn from the deaths of Ananias & Sapphira

1. There are two of in every church and it’s early impossible to distinguish them from the outside. 
2. We cannot from God. 
3. The Closer we are to , the greater of the of sin.

Two Reasons why Ananias & Sapphira died:

1. Their deaths .
2. They had seen the activity of the Holy Spirit so closely that .
3. is part of worship. 
4. Sin is a deadly matter to God.

Take Away: “God is patient with us and slow to anger. His patience is designed to lead us to repentance, not to become bolder in out sin.”
